The Biocides Industries Coalition (“B.I.C”) is a not for profit international industry association[1] established in May 2013. Its focus is on solving legal, regulatory, interpretative and practical issues under the EU biocides regime through constructive engagement with decision makers.

    B.I.C members include companies of all sizes and positions throughout the supply chain doing business in the European Union (“EU”), as well as other major global markets.

    Key B.I.C activities include: 

    • helping to shape the implementation of the Biocidal Products Regulation (“BPR”)

    • providing input on the development of key BPR guidance documents through written submissions and constructive in-person interactions

    • providing a global perspective on biocides regulation in the EU

    • representation of members’ interests 

    B.I.C members agree thematic priorities on an annual basis to remain focused and effective. The B.I.C complements and coordinates its activities with the work undertaken by other representative organizations.  

    Day to day administrative support is provided by Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Brussels, led by Michel Michaux, B.I.C Director General. B.I.C’s elected Chair is Ms. Nathalie Hanon, of Troy Corporation.  Its principal legal counsel is Darren Abrahams.
